Logging-Tag
The Logging-Tag header may be specified by an application during SET-PARAMS and GET-PARAMS requests.
This optional header assigns an application-specified tag or string to an individual session.
While the MRCP specification does not define specific reasons for using this tag, it is commonly used within logs to identify a specific session. MRCP session identifiers may differ from those used by ASR and TTS resources, and these in turn often differ from the session IDs used by the related telephony platform. Logging-Tag helps correlate which sessions are related across these layers.
This Logging-Tag header is available within both MRCPv1 and MRCPv2 sessions and can contain strings or numeric characters as needed.
Logging-Tag within CDR Logs
Call Detail Record logging includes optional Logging-Tag attributes specified by applications within MRCP sessions. Among the attributes recorded for each Media Server session, the Logging-Tag value allows users to more readily identify which sessions correspond to specific application-assigned tags when reviewing CDR logs.
