Authentication Capabilities

Identity Management
The platform exposes a full identity life-cycle for voiceprint records. Integrators can create, retrieve, disable, re-enable, and remove identities, and query the enrollment status of any given identity. This is the foundation of both day-one provisioning and day-two operations—handling re-enrollment, churned customers, and the compliance-driven right-to-be-forgotten workflows that regulated industries require.

Enrollment and Verification APIs
A single set of APIs handles enrollment and verification across every supported channel, provided the integrator can capture audio in the required format. This channel-agnostic API contract is what lets organizations deploy voice biometrics behind their IVR, mobile app, web portal, or conversational AI without rebuilding the authentication experience per channel.

Voice Biometrics Engine (DNN)
The matching engine is built on deep neural networks and supports active, passive, and hybrid voice authentication. Enrollment and verification work in any language and with any passphrase, provided the corresponding language is supported by the ASR engine for passphrase text validation. The engine runs accurately out of the box and can be custom-calibrated against a customer's own voice biometrics data; calibration is a guided engagement, and Capacity's team works directly with customers whose deployment has the data volume and risk profile to justify tuning.

Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Engine
The same DNN-based ASR that powers the platform's speech recognition products is used here as a defense-in-depth control. While the biometric engine determines who is speaking, the ASR engine independently confirms what was said—validating that the speaker repeated the expected passphrase. This separation prevents accidental match-on-mismatch and blocks playback of unrelated audio.


Anti-Fraud and Presentation-Attack Defense

Playback Detection
Detects when a presented utterance is acoustically similar to audio the engine has processed before—the signature of a fraudster attempting to replay a previously captured recording of the genuine speaker uttering the passphrase.

Liveness Detection
Defends against replay of fixed phrases (for example, the canonical "my voice is my password") by prompting the speaker to repeat random phrases the attacker could not have pre-recorded. Used in active authentication workflows where the platform controls the prompt.

Synthetic Speech Detection
Identifies audio generated by speech synthesizers, including text-to-speech and voice-conversion deepfakes. Supported across both active authentication flows (where the platform controls the prompt) and passive flows (where audio is captured during natural conversation).

Fraud Watchlists
Known fraudster audio can be added to a watchlist, and every enrollment and verification is automatically checked against it—alerting integrators to repeat-offender activity before it succeeds. Watchlists can be scoped so that the right populations of known fraudsters are checked in the right contexts, rather than forcing a single global list across every deployment scenario.


Reporting and Observability

Every session and transaction processed by the platform is recorded for audit, analytics, and operational troubleshooting. Both a reporting API and a web portal expose:
