Feature Request Process
A Feature Request asks for new functionality that does not yet exist in Capacity Private Cloud. It is different from a Support Request, which addresses existing functionality or reports a defect.
Submitting a Feature Request
Submit feature requests through the same channel used for support requests (see Logging a Support Ticket). Mark the submission clearly as a feature request and include:
- A clear description of the desired functionality and the problem it solves.
- The importance of the request to your work.
- Any logs, configuration files, or packet captures that help illustrate the use case.
What Happens Next
Capacity reviews each request and forwards accepted ones to Product Management for scheduling. There is no commitment to implement any specific request, and accepted requests may take significant time to reach a release. Support will close the ticket and notify the requester when an accepted feature ships.
