Software Releases

Capacity Private Cloud software is released on a periodic basis using Semantic Versioning (SemVer). Version numbers follow the MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH format — for example, 7.1.3.

Release Types

TypeTriggered ByTypical Cadence
Major (increments MAJOR)Significant new features or substantive changes to component behavior.Every 12–18 months on average.
Minor (increments MINOR)New functionality that does not warrant a major release.Roughly 3–4 per major release.
Patch (increments PATCH)Defect fixes.As needed.

Component Versioning

All Capacity Private Cloud products share a single version number within a release — for example, ASR and TTS will both be versioned 7.0.0 in the 7.0.0 release.

Note: Mixing components or services from different releases is not supported and may produce undefined behavior.

Release Notes

See the Release Notes section for details on recent updates.

Supported Versions

Technical support is provided for releases issued within the last 24 months, or for the two most recent major releases — whichever is greater. Support covers installation, configuration, licensing, and workarounds for technical issues where possible. All other releases are deprecated and considered unsupported.

Contact Technical Support or your Sales Representative to discuss upgrade options if you are running an unsupported version.

Software Maintenance

An active Software Maintenance contract entitles customers to the newest release of Capacity Private Cloud. Subscription Licenses do not have Software Maintenance Expiration Dates.
